Our Story
In the heart of the quaint town of Rhinebeck lies one of the cornerstones of community life—the Rhinebeck Wine and Liquor Store. Established in 1969, this liquor store has not only withstood the test of time but has evolved into a beloved local institution, cherished by generations of townsfolk.
Throughout its history, Rhinebeck Liquor Store has been more than just a place to buy alcohol; it has been a pillar of the community. The store regularly donates to local charities, sponsors community events.
Kenneth and Don Pitcher purchased the building back in 1950. The history of this building dates back to the mid 1800s. It started out local horse stables, then dress shop before Rhinebeck Wine and Liquor was formed. And in 1998, the Curthoys family took it over.
Delivery & Returns
Delivery
We are pleased to offer delivery to customers within a 6-mile radius of our store in the heart of Rhinebeck.
Standard Delivery Fee:
If you live outside the village and your order is under $40, a $5 delivery fee applies.
Free Delivery:
If you live within the village of Rhinebeck, there is no delivery fee.
For orders over $40, delivery is free regardless of your location within our delivery radius.
Orders are typically delivered the same day if placed before [insert cut-off time]. Please ensure someone 21 years or older is available to accept the delivery and provide valid ID.
Returns
We want you to love your wine! If you're not satisfied with your selection, simply return the bottle (even if it's opened) to our store, and we’ll provide you with store credit for the value of the wine.
Returns must be made within [insert number of days, e.g., 30 days] of purchase, and a receipt is required for all returns.
